@TIK getting his ass handed to him by so many different brehs and still keeps posting :laff:
Maybe.

Or maybe the rebuttals are so ridiculous and people are missing the points so I don't even bother acknowledging them.

The vast majority of people here are just lurking, not posting. I'll let them come to their own conclusions as to which one of us is making a better argument.

This answer is incredibly simple, yet these fake Hotep pseudo-intellectual c00ns who don't even have the most basic understanding of how power relationships work in the US will someone manage to fukk it up.
Black men have male privilege. Not that hard to understand. They don't face sexualization, brutal assault and rape, gender and sex discrimination, the primary caregiver role, and about a dozen other things.
And before a moron says "b-b-bu-but Black women are counted as two minorities in hiring, and are hired over Black men in a few cases" how do a few cases a year constitute any aspect of a power relation?
Key word: they don't.

actually if you include prison more men get raped per year in the US than women :manny:

and you know who's drastically over-represented in the prison industrial complex right? :lupe:

have you read Michelle Alexander's The New Jim Crow?

women decry "rape culture" all day long but making jokes about men getting raped in prison is part of the same paradigm :francis:

I don't think black males are treated worse/better than black females.

I would rather stay a black woman, than be a black man.

I would never want to be a male. I haven't experienced the "bad" things that "feminist" complain about other than hearing some people say ignorant things about women, that's nothing though. :queen:

that's exactly what he shouldn't do, unless you also suggest he reads the dissenting theories as well.

stop treating half-baked social theory that was concocted less than 60 years ago as fact.
One of the key elements of something being a science is that any idea can be proven to be completely wrong tomorrow, you nikkas look at certain social theories as a religion rather than a science.

Why sociology is not a science
5 Objections against Sociology being called a Science (1883 Words)

And there is nothing wrong with having a religion but don't hide behind the veil of pretending to be skeptics and rationalist, claiming everybody that doesn't agree with your views is an uneducated savage.

ol' "liberal white massa told me this is the correct way to think" ass nikkas

I read the book about a week after it came out.
And sexual assault in prisons can vary from 1-3%, a siginificant issue, but not at all comparable to that of Black women.
And I have yet to have heard a single woman who talks about "rape culture" also make prison-rape jokes. This is just a trope trotted out by men who are attempting to silence women.

so how is it privilege on either side?:jbhmm:
Its not :snoop:
Men on this site minimize women's issues, to the point of threads like this, where they play stupid, or try to make it a contest.
Women on that site minimize men's issues. The difference being there are hundreds of threads on that site dedicated to talking about the issues facing Black men, and there may be two on this site that focus on issues facing Black women. :mjpls:

No one is saying that black women should put aside their issues for black men. In fact, I stated in the post that you quoted that both black men and women should be supporting each other. I could state a number of ways in which black men have it worse than black women but I won't as that only helps to separate us from each other. Yes, both black men and women are maltreated in Western societies, however, one only has to look at the mortality rates for young black men and women to see which issue is the most pressing concern for the wider black community.
What I'm saying is that as a black man, it's very easy to ask and expect black woman to take up the banner and ride for us because we're not being victimized at a high rate by black women. Our issues are primarily being caused by white men. The same cannot be said for black women; around 50% of which have been sexually assault (in large part by black men), 20% raped (in large part by black men), and are 4x more likely to be murdered by a significant other than their white counterparts. We can't even get black men in this thread to acknowledge that they have certain privileges, and these are the nikkas i'm supposed to tell my daughter to follow? Nah, b. I don't want intra-racial division, but if I was a black woman, I wouldn't have much faith in black men to solve my problems when they're either a significant perpetrator of them or ignoring them. Of course every black man who is murdered by police or victimized in some other way is some black woman's son or brother or husband, so it's not as if these issues are completely gendered, but it's quite obvious there is a problem here.
