i was shocked when i went to 3 or 4 countries over in europe and they had border security and laws enforcing it. i was also reminded several times that i wasn't a citizen of those countries, asked to show documentation

i was under the impression that only america does that :ohhh:

They don't play these games elsewhere. Had to spend the night in Changi Airport in singapore to catch a connecting flight. around 3 am they had a group of 5 "TSA" equivalents going up to people in the airport and waking them up to check their passports and flight information. Mind you, all 5 of these Changi Security Officers were carrying AR's. Gotta have documentation for your situation or you're gonna be stuck there with them till an Embassy can get it fixed.

"illegal alien" is just a legal term... whats the fuss

Get rid of the dumb laws, and the "illegals" will suddenly have license and insurance at the same rate as legal immigrants and poor white folk and you won't have this problem anymore. :patrice:

Should immigrants be given driver's licenses/a form of Gov't ID and other citizenship rights while undergoing the process of legal immigration? If that's what you're getting at, I think that's an interesting idea.

Any laws that keep people from getting identity documentation, getting insurance, willingly interacting with police, getting their kids educated, accessing health care, etc. are bound to cause social problems.

If someone can find a place to work and find a place to live, that should be good enough - they should definitely be given identity documents as long as they have residence and employment, and should be required to get insurance just like anyone else would. Keeping employed people with a place to live from being "legal" just because you don't like their social class or the country they're from is just stupid.

Use a notorious police state as your model brehs.

Singapore’s political environment is stifling, and citizens continued in 2016 to face severe restrictions on their basic rights to freedom of expression, association, and peaceful assembly. The government effectively controls print media, and online media outlets are forced to register with the government and post a significant bond. Bloggers and online media that comment on political issues are targeted for prosecution with vague and overly broad legal provisions on public order, morality, security, and racial and religious harmony.

A guy just got six weeks jail for criticizing Islam and Christianity online...if we had Singaporean laws then 2/3 of Coli posters would be in prison in a quick minute.

Singapore has a terrible human rights record, including well-known abuse of migrant workers....so we should compare our immigration laws to them...why?

I'm just going to keep ignoring your repeated Red Herrings and Strawmen. Either reply to an argument someone has actually made or STFU. Your constant dishonest posting strategies are annoying as hell.

The blindness. :snoop:

Why do you think poor white trash driving around drunk have license/insurance and the illegal immigrants don't? Because stupidly designed immigration laws with racist intent keep them from being able to access those things. :dwillhuh:

illegals being able to get car insurance, etc trends toward the idea that anyone who walks into the US should be afforded the same privileges as a citizen. how the fukk is a country supposed to keep track of people if that was the case :what: what is this naive bullshyt?

so just to clarify, your argument states that any legitimate criticism of people coming here illegally from another country should be dismissed because they're tanner than the average white person :dead: do i have that right?

Oh the horror!!

And I see we are posting articles from right-wing conspiracy websites.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! :krs:

HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who Gives a Fuuck.

It's the news.

These are facts.

You can make your own assessment of it, but stop bytching. I knew as soon as I found the article there was gone be discombobulation over the source. :laff:

This was the top source for this story when I searched it this morning
. Everything else was Twitter posts. Most other news sites hadn't apparently seen the story yet There are probably some left wing news sites with the story by now....but I'm not a cult member that has to wait for my ideological oriented news source to tell me the same information...:scust:.

They're really desperate to get those Hispanics to replace nikkas. Next you will get banned for saying DREAMers didn't build America (like that Cabello Havana song chick said), black people did.

Slippery Slope fallacy, Kettle Logic, a completely nonsensical Appeal to Consequences followed by yet another Strawman. Four logical fallacies in just three sentences!

Are you congenitally incapable of having an honest discussion, or do you just act this way on The Coli and talk like a real person in the rest of your life? :what:

Censorship of legal terms on a major social media website is not threadworthy.......a legal phrase??

:dwillhuh:

Not about this particular, phrase/word it-s the precedent it sets to "memory hole" speech and ideas.

Read 1984. :francis:
It's not newsworthy because it didn't happen. Twitter didn't censor any term. Just look at Twitter right now -triggered white people are using the term "illegal alien" like crazy. So how was it censored?

How did you find the story if it was only showing up in right-wing media? :jbhmm:

Guess what, if the top source for a story is a right-wing propaganda site and all else you can find verifying it are Twitter posts, then it probably isn't a real story.

Twitter did not block the term illegal alien from posts. It never happened. All they did was fail to approve a boosting request. Someone tried to pay Twitter to boost their anti-immigrant tweet, and Twitter didn't boost it. That's the whole story.

The title of your OP is a lie. The title of the the article you linked to was a lie. Twitter did not block any terms from posts.

Media Bias Factcheck lists The American Mirror as an "extreme right propaganda source" and states that not all stories are linked to credible information.

Fake News Codex lists The American Mirror as "Publishes blatantly false stories and pairs extremely misleading headlines with relatively truthful articles."

I can do a search right now and find dozens of anti-Black articles on the site. That's the source you rolled with.

The thread title is a lie.

What happens when you say '******' though
:patrice:
The same thing. This is only about promoted tweets. No words are being censored or blocked like the OP is claiming.

"Promoted Tweets are ordinary Tweets purchased by advertisers who want to reach a wider group of users or to spark engagement from their existing followers.

All Promoted Tweets are clearly labeled as Promoted when an advertiser is paying for their placement on Twitter. In every other respect, Promoted Tweets act just like regular Tweets and can be retweeted, replied to, liked, and more."

Center for Immigration Studies tried paying Twitter to promote their tweets, but Twitter refused to for certain tweets...

They're denying them the larger platform that comes with promoted tweets. They're basically telling them to stick their money where ...

Also CIS is a hate group:

FAIR, CIS and NumbersUSA are all part of a network of restrictionist organizations conceived and created by John Tanton, the "puppeteer" of the nativist movement and a man with deep racist roots ... CIS was conceived by Tanton and began life as a program of FAIR. CIS presents itself as a scholarly think tank that produces serious immigration studies meant to serve "the broad national interest." But the reality is that CIS has never found any aspect of immigration that it liked, and it has frequently manipulated data to achieve the results it seeks.

So they're not even blocking the tweets, they just aren't taking money to promote tweets they don't like. :mjlol:

The typical snowflakes are triggered. :russ:

Obviously it hasn't banned the word since you just tweeted it, smart guy. :comeon:

Did y'all actually look at the 2nd tweet in the OP??? It says they were cited for "Hateful Content" by using the phrase "Illegal alien". It says it as clear as day.

:snoop:

Let me rephrase.

The word is not blocked, but they were starting to block posts that use the term as the 2nd tweet in OP says.

Twitter has probably stopped that effort now that so many people are highlighting it.

The irony of what makes something "threadworthy"....:leostare:

BS. If Twitter had started blocking posts using that term, it would have been unavoidably obvious and public. How could you "secretly" start blocking a whole term and think no one would notice? So the idea that Twitter started blocking a commonly used term, then suddenly stopped just because people noticed, is nonsensical. It would be the stupidest move ever because they wouldn't get any of the benefits of blocking it but all the bad publicity of having tried to block it.

Which is just one of the obvious reasons that it didn't happen.

This is why you don't post right-wing propaganda sites here. Because they just make things up.
