They kill entire school buses of Mexican kids.If you don't know, you don't know. The Cartels ARE brazen enough to start attacking inside of the US and even attempt assassinations on local governors, senators, world leaders, CEOs, and Presidents. While US may be the largest single Market for them, the drug game is Global with tens of Billions at play and what we've actually seen over the past half decade is cooperation between global crime syndicates from China to Russia to Latin America to Africa. Its a whole global ecosystem and you fukk up one piece and shyt can get shaky with organized crime globally.. The Economist had a excellent article about this a few months back.

Let's start with the reality that the war on drugs has been fought and lost due to our insatiable desire for them.
My guess is America really starts to press cartels, they won't be directing their ire at US but double down on Mexican govt officials as they have always done to make it stop or go into hiding a ride out the shenanigans while it lasts.
We fought the longest war for us ever in Afghanistan, left and nothing changed.
This administration and us in general have a short attention span

They can start by controlling the blatant weapons trafficking from America to Mexico(and Haiti)
The cartel and latin gangs have become as powerfull as they are because of American weapons and American/european consumers.
Other than weed and some coke drug using is really not that high in Latin America.

Id just legalize it and make it medical grade and set up getting high dispensary. You pay for a room and get high, have medical personnel check on you and you get ya drug based on height weight etc. Might as well make money on it
