He's too comfortable and is in the stage of his career where he has nobody around him that's gonna keep it real with him. None of the nikkas in that video are gonna speak up and potentially fukk up the bag but their body language says everything.

Akademiks is being petty but he's right. Hop on some of these young trap nikkas records and body their shyt. Go on a feature run then drop a mixtape. Drake already gave nikkas the blueprint. Lil Baby used to do shyt like that but he got famous and stopped. I remember when I could listen to a random AOC Obama mixtape and hear him on it but that would never happen now.

His last album was beyond mid. But it's crazy how in this generation you literally can't have a cold year or dissapointing album when literally every elite level artist has gone through it and been able to bounce back. Future,Drake,Cole etc..not saying Baby is on that level but damn let the lil nikka have a couple flops in a row before we declare him dead out here.

Dope shyt is always dope.

What y'all bop to these days is largely wack, and y'all act so surprised that it's wack.. two years later.

You're falling victim to the hype when you jam to wack shyt. Deep down, I think you know it's wack.

But since so few classic tracks have been made in the past two decades, my point is scientifically proven.

"Doesn't age well" is another way to say wack.

he did.

He last a little longer than Da Baby, i'll give him that

I mean, I guess but Da Baby was/is probably more well known to the average music fan. Da Baby was and probably still is 5x more well known than Lil Baby. Both have about the same career prospects going forward, but Da Baby had real hits :francis:

He was always mediocre
Yep. People were anointing him the New Wayne (who was overrated himself), but at least Wayne had/has a great work ethnic, and has rapped over a variety of production. Lil Baby isn’t at all a strong enough artist for the generic production he gets. So many of his songs are indistinguishable from one another. You can’t be an artist like that and have albums with 17,18,19 songs.

Also, people are always so late on the mediocrity of artists like this. I’ve been saying Lil’ Baby ain’t nothing special for like 5 years, and after the 92nd song that sounds the same, people now want to say something :mjlol:
