Clipse got alot of cultural bangers and iconic hip hop songs. Why ya acting like he is some struggle rapper?

Pretty sure more black people know of Clipse and Pusha T songs than Trav songs.

Ya conflicting generations with culture.

Dudes like Trav Scott, Playboi Carti, Uzi are huge

But NOT because of black people

Only Travis song I can recall off the top of my head is Sicko Mode and that is cause of the Drake feature.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Man, the Coli is such a weird space. This shyt is like a time capsule. There’s no way a real person could think Travis and Pusha are on the same level of popularity, right? One of these dudes already performed at the SB. One of them made Astroworld. The other is known primarily for dissing Drake by non-rap diehards. Let’s be fukking serious. Negroes naming Clipse songs (not even Pusha T songs) that are
20-25 years old talking about more random people on the street would know those songs :mjlol:.

50-60k people are not showing up to watch Pusha T do anything. Great rapper but let’s call this shyt what it is—a rapper dissing a more popular artist to drum up hype for an upcoming album.

I’m not a Travis fan. The only album I fukk with of his is Astroworld, which fukking goes, but Pusha T is going out sad.

Travis wasn’t “let” in the game he literally forced himself in by stealing a nikkas beats and reference tracks :mjlol: and out working everyone around him.

He not a traditional rapper but he had the drive, work ethic and some level of talent to get where he at and has made classic hit hip hop records throughout the last decade. I say this as someone who saw his whole career play out from his days on KTT back in 2010-2011
its more pop hop than anything

How is this an ether when that tweet has 0 to with Travis?

Pretty sure more black people know of Clipse and Pusha T songs than Trav songs.

That is 100% false.

Lmaooo, yall sound fukkin crazy. I promise more can name a Travis song before any push or clipse song.

Travis is a fukk nikka and a weirdo but ya'll sound absolutely delusional.

Nah it’s still hip hop

It’s just hip hop that became extremely commercialized and “popular”

But Trav and his collection of producers crafted a specific sound for him that he still sticks to. I’m thinking of a record like Nightcrawler with Keef and Sway Lee. I still haven’t heard no shyt like that to this day and that record still bangs hard as fukk

Pop Hop to me is some shyt like Jack Harlow. Nothing unique or different that he doing, just hopping on “popular sounding” production that’s in and making records

the tweet was for the drake stans and hookahsexuals :russ:

anyway commercial viability is one thing but the singles that the clipse/push have are way more classic and memorable, especially if you were around back then.

not taking away from travis but nothing he put out is as legendary as that early 00s star trak run. mr. mee too, grindin, wamp wamp (what it do) are way more memorable to me than any travis scotts.

shyt even the slim thug shyt with the neptunes is doper and sonically deeper. but i dont think its smart to compare the two. they are in two different lanes, and to throw everything under the same hip hop umbrella is a disservice. there are subgenres

A lot of these Coli old heads live in their own musical bubbles :mjlol:

Noticed this years ago but it’s because a lot of bruhs are older and not tapped in with the culture like that still and that’s fine we got wives, kids, careers, hobbies but the delusional is real and bruhs have to admit that the music has past them
