I still use exponents and trig stuff some of the time. Parentheses too I use a lot. I still have the engineering calculator they made us buy for college, but I can't remember how do any of that stuff like the graphing.

I know sin cos tan is for calculus

but I’ve never used the log buttons
We used logs heavy in calculus too .


You use them with exponents if you wanna work backwards and figure out what to the xth power gave you the equation you currently have in front of you .


As an adult I've used logs once or twice when calculating compound interest for my brokerage account, or when trying to calculate the ammoritization of a potential loan.

The one thing I've never used is the absolute value button. There is no practical use for it in real life, but I had a statistic prof in college that was convinced you needed it to get the odds of a bet . :patrice:

I guess it’s based on most people’s job, but I use power of (x*, x2) almost daily.
