Elon truly is proof that intelligence and money really aren't as correlated as people think.
I think it's deeper than that. It's about intelligence being fractured, more so than some people not having it.
For example if you gave Elon a bunch of differential equations for rockets or a discrete math problem; he would easily outperform the general population. His issue is that he has fractured his intelligence in one area. Now compare that with Jamie dimon, who runs Chase. Dimon would be the Michael Jordan of business and finance, but; if you gave Jamie diamond even a basic algebra problem he would flunk it.
What really gets me about Elon is that he refuses to delegate the things he's not good at. Literally nothing could have stopped Elon from giving Twitter to the private equity department of Jamie diamond's Chase; so that it could be profitable and properly managed. And even now he could still do it.
He has trust problems.
