How do yall think they should deal with championships for the brand split?
One world championship that can float between shows, while elevating the us and ic championship
Or two seperate wwe titles
What about tag and divas titles

It's going to be two World titles. It's pretty obvious with the name change of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to the WWE Championship.

Also with what happened on Raw, I see Steph making Seth her #1 pick and then making him World Heavyweight Champion after Battleground or making a tournament that Seth wins. Either way I think Seth will be the Raw champ.

Women's division doesn't have enough on the roster to warrant two titles.

With Cruiser weights being exclusive to Raw, it's only a matter of time that they bring back the Cruiser weight championship.

It would be weird to book storylines with just one title for 2 rosters and it wouldn't be a hard split if there's one champion running around on both shows. The only real issue with two world titles is that a new belt/bringing back the WHC isn't gonna top the current lineage and prestige. The title would feel automatically inferior just as the WHC did. You see how some of those WHC reigns are barely counted as world title reigns nowadays and how the title became a complete joke near its end

Just bring back the big Gold Belt and start with the lineage from that so it wont feel like a new title. It's not even been 3 years since they "retired" it anyway. And whoever gets it (via tournament) should have a long meaningful run with it to establish it. I'm talking about till like Mania season or something.

Nah breh you can't book a brand split with one world champion. It fukks up the flow and momentum of storylines and rivalries and it would be a clusterfukk of booking.

How would #1 contenders be decided? What if they want a world championship rivalry to go on for a couple months, what would the main eventers on the other show be doing? Twiddling their thumbs while waiting for the world champ to finish his beef on another show? How many main events can you book without a world champion before the show starts to feel less important? How would contenders even get at a world champion to start? It's difficult booking for no reason. Let's not even get into potential injuries/suspensions

And beyond that, you're essentially uniting the rosters when you have one world champion. Just think about it, everybody on both rosters are working towards the same thing, why even do a brand split at that point? It wouldn't work, it might if WWE changed its booking style and was more focused and detailed but they wouldn't and they aren't and they don't have to be when the simple solution is two world titles.

Ehh I don't think you can just elevate the IC or US titles like that. A midcard belt is a midcard belt, there's a ceiling to how important it can be, and when the world champion comes back that title is just gonna get knocked down again.

Its scripted they can make almost anything work if they book it right
The us title looked prestigious last time Cena had it and held the open challenge every week
The ic title is in theory supposed to be right below the world title
Problem is they likely wouldn't book it right

they tried that with the og breand split and failed and this was when they knew how to book

The problem I see is that the Smackdown version of the title will be considered and seen as the lesser title. They might have someone like Cena hold it a couple of times to make it seem important but as soon as he's drafted back to Raw or whatever the title is going to be seen as a glorified intercontinental champion like it was before. The world heavyweight championship title match was the opening match of the last Wrestlemania of the original brand split for goodness sake
