I have that same issue trying to create, except I spend a lot of time tweaking sounds...i never really make shyt. I lack equipment, so its difficult for me to create percussion but sfx? hell yea. I'm 25. If I were to get certs or go to school it would be in IT.

You will never progress with tha Star mentality (needing/wanting a hit)

Music, especially creating it, should be your escape, it is your craft, it is a part of you. As long as you can make music, that should be all matters.

I wish I could write but I need to expand my vocabulary and get a better understanding of language to properly convey my thoughts. I just end up staring at tha paper. (General writing. Not song/lyric writing)

Do you have a computer or anything? I can send you some sound packs or simply get that KE on the track kit. It comes with some of the wildest sounds. For movies, anything and some links to FL or logic. Depending on what you have.

Also read some books fam. Any book literally any. Reading is knowledge it’s power. I don’t wanna be a star but I want people to feel me. I wanna convey my message the right way and I’m more of a perfectionist than chasing a hit.

Yea, I use Ableton. A desktop is literally all i got and its not even mine. I'd appreciate those sounds. shyt...I got stuff like "black holes colliding" and pretty much every sound effect ever from tha Gundam series.

Only book I read on music was a DJ book. Right now, I'm too invested in other things to pick up another book on a completely different topic. I'm also a perfectionist aka my biggest critique and enemy.

To positively impact the life of at least one person via fatherhood.

Trying to position myself in the best possible mental and financial situation in order to be ready to take on the role (if given a choice, I'd choose fatherhood over marrying someone, so adoption is on the table if it comes to it).
