Honestly, never saw or heard ANY of that... Our security niiggas, Dale and Curley :rip: was NOT having it. They might have gotten Tech mixed up with another school in the area. It was not going down like that there.

Fellow Engineer. I'm class of old-as-fukk. You made me laugh with the security brehs' names. Hadn't seen or heard those in many years. I played ball in DiBenedetto's time there, and...he was the dean.

If I recall correctly, the Decepts and Autobots (females) started at Tech back in approx. 1985-1987, and probably just to get home. I don't think it was planned, just some organic survival shyt. I went to school and played ball with some of those cats. Not gonna call out names, nor go into any detailed stories. It didn't really go down on the school property like that, except on those last days of the semester before summer when uninvited "visitors" would try to show up causing ruckus.

As you know, people from all over the NYC have to test into Tech. It's mostly squares in that school, me included somewhat, but really intelligent folks. Atlantic Junction station, where Barclay's Center is now, was hectic trying to get home daily during that period, probably still to this day. That Flatbush/Atlantic junction connected students from Brooklyn Tech, Westinghouse, Sarah J Hale, Bishop Loughlin and one other high school downtown at the time that escapes me right now.

Anyway, between the daily jux and vick sessions from the other high schools AND Fort Greene projects on the other side of the park, dudes at Tech just linked up. Between that station, Albee Square Mall, Beat Street, the Mickey Dee's on Fulton/Flatbush..... you had to keep your head on a swivel. Over time, some of the dudes left Tech, ended up at alternative schools or dropped out altogether, and the Decept crew spread, as did their rep, around the city. There's a popular NY part-time blogger who was part of that original crew who could probably fill in the blanks, if he hasn't already.

Back on topic, Kings Plaza has always had some drama going on, but just on some beatdown or boosting crew shyt. Shooting randomly into a crowded mall, over some sneakers.....is really just sad. I don't even recognize that mentality at all.

What’s corny about Gen Z and these new cac and non-black sneaker heads is that sneakers are all they care about in terms of clothes. :mjlol:I swear most of Gen Z don’t even own a single jacket, let alone a proper winter coat.:gucci: All they rock is hoodies all year round. And cacs been known for that type of behavior too forever. And if they do own a coat, it’s some Macy’s clearance rack Guess bubble coat bullshyt or a generic black Moncler that is probably a knockoff.

I could see why people were getting killed for old school sheepskin coats back in the 80’s because those coat shoes are drip to this day and are the warmest coats money can buy. :leon:But all these hyped up sneakers people go crazy over nowadays are only hot because of their fake ass “limited” status and social media overrating them.:shaq2: If those Nike Chunky Dunky SB’s were a general release, they would hit the clearance racks after sitting on shelves for months. :wtf:

Above the fray.
If you're shooting a party up or shooting up a public place to get at someone, you're a fukking menace and and should be treated as such

However, that the begs the question: Why are these young people engaging in this behavior anyways? Which then opens a whole other can of worms
It's because they are criminals. Majority of the other kids in their neighborhoods have similar backgrounds, yet it's a small minority of them who are moving like this. The standard excuses/reasons have to be tossed away then, right?

Absolutely nothing was going through the shooters head for him to do that in broad daylight with witnesses. No care for the lives he was shooting at or his own once caught

Lock him up :unimpressed:
cause its not the first time

The World, but from BK
Yep :russ:

It's funny as Mill Basin is a white neighborhood and yet you NEVER see white ppl inside Kings Plaza :mjpls:

I've been visiting Kings Plaza my entire life and never had an issue :ehh:

For years it was Brooklyn's only true mall as Gateway and Altantic Terminal only recently opened in the last 20 years.

I think Mill Basin has gotten a little more mixed. I used to live in Flatlands and had friends who lived near KP in Mill Basin. I definitely remember Carribean folks moving in that area. Used to go to Gil Hodges Bowling Alley. Stopped going there though once they started having metal detectors. I left BK about 7 years ago but still go back about once a month to visit fam.

I used to love living over there and riding down Flatbush on my bike to Riis beach.

I only knew of Mill Basin because one of my classmates said he was from there. I never would have guessed that he was rich or anything though; he was a plain metalhead. Wasn't till much later that I heard of Mill Basin residents holding paper.
