I'm heartbroken by the loss, but I have a little bit of solace in knowing that he went out on his shield and actually came to fight. It really sucks though, because I actually thought he was going to finish Weidman after he rocked him.
Like you said, he went out on his shield. He didn't give up, dude was eating heavy GnP and still punching back. Anthony Johnson's heart is a real issuehe's gonna need that at this level of competition
That was an amazing hope spot by VitorI'm heartbroken by the loss, but I have a little bit of solace in knowing that he went out on his shield and actually came to fight. It really sucks though, because I actually thought he was going to finish Weidman after he rocked him.
he did go out on his shield which is all u can askHe was just physically exhausted breh. It was obvious that Cormier was going to finish him in the 3rd after he got dominated in the 2nd round.

.Caught him clean but he wasn't hurt. He definitely didn't wanna feel more of those though, hence the takedowns.
though
Rumble came with a horrible game plan tonight. IDK if Cormier talking got to him, but he was very reckless and aggressive tonight. Way too much lead striking(which hes never been good at) which cause him to be off balance and out of position to stop the clinch/grapple. Didn't see any counter set ups. He fought like the old Rumble. Hopefully he learns and comes back
