Kemba has shot over 40% once in four seasons. I don't want to hear anything about him being better than Lillard or that he's only a little worse shooter than Dame. I think Lillard is gonna have his best season by far in 2015-16 since the offense will finally be going through him. He looked tentative last season.

To me, Kemba is a 6th man on a good team.
You're not getting what I'm saying...

If you're playing defense against the Hornets or Bobcats for the past couple of years, you're guarding Kemba. That's it. Al Jeff was a beast, but if you stopped Kemba the ball couldn't even get to him. Offense derailed, end of story. The offense stops and goes on Kemba because that's the BS offense we run.

Lillard though? You can't just trap dude on the perimeter because *gasp* he isn't largely the sole 3pt threat of the Blazers. Far from it. Hornets were literally the worst 3pt shooting team in the league last year. What does 3pt shooting do? Create spacing. Is spacing important? Arguably the most important thing in a modern NBA offense. Lillard had spacing, shooters, and a legit MVP candidate more than willing to step out to open up driving lanes, occupy interior defenders, and stretch defenses with his own outside shooting. Kemba, and I'm on record shytting on dude at every opportunity, has never had a fraction of the tools that Lillard has had to work with since day one. And I don't believe that Lillard can survive as a defense's #1 target without turning into the most inconsistent starting PG in the league and moody bytch on top of that.

Even if Lillard was a good consistent guard capable of running an offense, it'd be insanely hard for anyone to just pick up the pieces after losing 4 starters and run an efficient offense out West. Only guy who seems to be able to do that, consistently, over the past few years has, ironically, been Ty Lawson.

Lawson OBVIOUSLY needs to be 6th man for this to work. Why the fukk is there debate about that. If anything this move is dope as fukk for Houston, cause now there is no worry when Harden has to rest and when the bench comes in. ANd it's not like their bench was bad anyway.

You, @Gil Scott-Heroin and a lot of other posters are gonna learn to respect Lillard this season.

I'm pretty hyped about this. This has pretty much been the only potential move I really thought might happen.

If he fukks it all up and is out of the league by mid-season then it's just a low risk move that didn't pay off but for what was given up? :pachaha:shyt, this deal is immaculate. you know that every team that needs a pg is hating on Morey hard right now for pulling this off. Right now Hinkle is sitting somewhere watching his mentor and thinking, "see that's the move I'll be making 6 years from now. If I still have a job here." :krs:

Put it like this... Kemba, while having more touches than guys like LBJ and Westbrook, still managed to be one of the best PGs in the league when it came to not turning the ball over and maintaining a certain degree of efficiency even while surrounded by what may as well be human garbage.

I have absolutely no reason to believe that Lillard will be able to do that, in a slower offense, with less talent, in the West.

:yeshrug:

It'd take a miracle on par with Wiggins learning how to dribble between his last game in college and his first game in Minnesota.

Why would you have the third highest assist per game pg in the league playing with Dwight on bench.
Faried lead the league in dunks per game for a reason, put Lawson out there on Howard is back to 2009

Because Houston's offense = give Harden the ball :mjlol: and no Houston fan believes McHale has the ability to keep Ty and Harden involved at the same time in a positive way. With Ty off the bench, that offense would basically never stop and it would shore up nearly all of Houston's issues in their 2nd unit.

Harden and Lawson can share pg duties. Its not like only 1 guy can handle the ball at all times.

Harden, Westbrook, and Durant worked in OKC so harden has shown the ability to create and play off ball as well.

2 creators/scorers on the perimeter with Dwight down low makes them interesting moving forward.

Still concerned about PF production tho :yeshrug:

They coulda just waited until the trade deadline when teams are desperate for help. That's when people buy high no sense in trading now for this garbage abunch of d-leaguers and a heavily protected first round pick.:snoop:

Breh Ty Lawson is a slightly above average PG at best, most teams(especially playoff contenders) are already set at the position, this is the best package that they could've gotten.
