They defeated the Clippers without TWO of their top 5 players and now they've just added one of the best PGs in the league. I definitely think they're capable of knocking off one of either the Spurs, Warriors or Thunder. Team is starting to look legit.

The Clippers threw that series away though.

Now Houston has scoring at the pg position. Beverly wasn't much of a scorer, but he was a good defender when healthy.

They're not fukking with the Spurs, with their new additions. Neither are they fukking with the Warriors. The Thunder? Perhaps, but hard to see if KD and Russ are both healthy.

Plus, we don't know if this nikka is mentally right. He's in rehab now, Denver wanted to get rid of him like the plague, so we'll see if this shyt works.

This what we been waiting for. Our fastbreak game about to pick up and Harden can conserve energy so he can close games out in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter by getting his but letting Ty run the show for the most part the first 3 quarters.

What does that say about both teams?

I can't see them beating the Warriors or the Thunder, the Spurs however, I can see happening. Duncan, Parker and Ginobili will all be another year older and I can't see them having influence to the degree that puts this team ABOVE the Rockets like it's a sure thing. Unless Parker/Manu can turn back the clock (which is unlikely), this team will fold in the first/second round again. Harden's hitting his prime, Ty and Howard are still in theirs and the pieces surrounding them are just as strong as what's in SA. The writing was on the wall with this Spurs team last season.

The lamarcus addition doesnt make the spurs more dangerous?

Absolutely. But here's the thing, their guard play is now middle-of-the-road and no longer do they have elite playmakers in the backcourt. There needs to be an appropriate median and there isn't - especially when other teams (Warriors, Thunder, Rockets and Clippers) do have at least ONE of those.

That Houston managed to beat a soft team that imploded? Doesn't mean they're gonna fukk with the Spurs, Warriors or Thunder though:ld:

To say that they may come out even, gaining scoring(streaky scoring) but losing defense. Beverly used to lock people up.

With Lemarcus Aldridge and David West as additions, this makes the Spurs better even considering age. Combine this with Kawai, and Green, I don't think Parker and Manu will be heavily depended on.

We played the Spurs and Warriors (in the WCF) tough and we beat up on OKC even when they had KD. We beat the Clippers without D-Mo or Bev so I think the Rockets can fukk with those teams. Ty Lawson fits our style of pushing the pace and tempo and if he gets wide open 3's he should knock down 35-39% of them.

And Beverly's defense last years was not as good as it was the previous year. He was torched a few times and it forced Ariza to slide over and cover opposing PG's. So if Beverly is my backup point with Lawson starting I'm happy with that.

Yeah, the Rockets probably improved. When you consider the increase in scoring at the pg position, the fact that Ty loves to play up tempo (and so does Houston), and now you have Beverly's defense off the bench.

However, look at the additions the Spurs have. Lemarcus Aldrige? David West? Duncan still playing at a high level? Kawai? Shiieett, it's a wrap already.

The most susceptible team is probably the Thunder, but the Spurs and Warriors are my pick for the WCF.

Durant wasn't 100% at all last year though. I don't think the Rockets can touch a healthy OKC, but as we've seen every year since 2012, a healthy OKC is a rare occurrence.

I love Ty Lawson, but WB against Ty and Harden playing the 1-2.. lol. That starting perimeter D will be garbage.

I'm not well versed in this years free agency but why weren't the Knicks interested? :mindblown:

Ty Lawson & Melo would have been a great 1-2 punch. Melo has always excelled when paired with a true PG.
