Believe Drake got his money or is about to soon. Drake is no kid off the street he had/has the best lawyers. If they owe, he gonna be paid. You forget Juvie was suing for 10 million. Cash Money paid him 5 million. Tyga's situation actually sounds good, he'll never be a gold artists, but his singles sell and he tours, plus he's popular. His arrangement sounds perfect for his situation.

Why do people always assume that every rapper on the radio is eating good off of show money? Do you even know how show money works? :why:

If you think any rapper is seeing more than 50% off of their show money unless they own their own touring/management company, then you will be sadly mistaken.

Doing 100 shows a year doesn't mean that you got money. By any means. And depending on his deal, they could be using his show money to recoup his advance. And you act like his albums don't be loaded with features and high end production.

But go ahead, you keep believing that doing shows every night while performing average sales wise on a major means you got hella bread.

 exactly. Not knowing the details of Tygas horrible contract, I would believe he still should be getting a check for his singles. I worked at jive records during its existence and artist were getting paid for their singles even when their albums flopped. Tyga must of signed some bullshyt just so he could be next to wayne.

These nikkas never favorite in the size of the shows either.

A nikka like Tyga still has to book club shows from time to time

Exactly. This is not a 20k-30k crowd kinda dude. Maybe when he's opening for Wayne/Drake or at the very peak of Rack City, maybe... but now? :youngsabo:

I ain't even hating on him getting whatever money he gets. I just don't understand why people who don't know about show money always talk about it. And people still think doing hella shows means you hella paid. And if he's still doing shows in the clubs... that tells you about his supposed star power.

Imagine Kid Cudi still doing club shows at this point. :russ:

For those talking about how much Tyga makes a show, the below is quoted from Wendy Day's article on concert promotions. Tyga's not on there but based on his relevance compared to others I'd say he's somewhere in that 30k-40k range. Also below that explains how much of that the artist will see. Article was written 4/4/2013 so it's pretty up to date.

And if you're wondering who Wendy Day is, she was a manager and helped artist negotiate deals. She was integral in Cash Money getting their 50/50 venture with Universal (which *surprise surprise* they didnt compensate her for :skip:), and yall should read up on the deal she got David Banner

http://wendyday.wordpress.com/2013/04/04/concert-promotions/

Meek Mill $50,000 plus travel (airfare and hotel rooms) for 7
Yo Gotti $35,000 plus sound (about $3500), plus airfare for 2, and 6 hotel rooms
2Chainz $85,000 plus travel
Future $45,000 plus travel for 4 or 5
Cash Out $11,000 plus travel for 4
Wale $40,000 plus travel
Trinidad James $25,000 plus 5 Delta plane tickets & 5 hotel rooms
Wiz Khalifa $100,000 plus travel for 15
Kendrick Lamar $100,000 plus travel
Scooter $15,000 plus travel
B.O.B. $75,000 plus travel for 5
Webbie $12,000 plus travel
Young Jeezy $70,000 plus travel
Rick Ross $90,000 plus travel
Chief Keef $20,000 plus travel (absolutely no walk throughs)
French Montana $35,000 plus travel
MGK $18,000 plus travel
Rocko $20,000 plus travel
Travis Porter $10,000 plus travel
Gucci Mane $25,000 plus travel

On the artist’s side, out of the guarantee, he pays a weekly paycheck to the road manager and security that travel with him, and possibly the hype man and DJ. The booking agent gets 10% of the guarantee. The artist’s manager gets 20% of the total income. If there’s a 360 Deal in place, the artist pays out that percentage. The IRS gets 20% to 30% of the income less accepted expenses and the artist’s accountant might make 5% for handling all the accounting and taxes. By the time the artist arrives back home, his performance fee could have been whittled down to half or 25% of the guarantee by these necessary expenses.

See. I told folks. Artists usually see less than half of what their booking price is. Which isn't bad money but these dudes have expenses too, not to mention paying back advances and living lifestyles.

Touring money ain't as great as everyone thinks it is. And no artist is going to 3 shows a week these days. Way too much music has to keep moving for that. It's not like the old days where you could tour off of an album or song for 2 years.

We would have never heard of this n1gga. These artist trying to get paid off the sweat, hard work, gansta sh1t, and distribution deals that Birdman (and Juvenile n those guys) created. Wayne shouldn't get checks because he shares it w daddy anyway.

Birdman throws checks in the bushes because .... wtf they gonna do about it? Stay unknown? Or have Bird put them on, and accept the no check and keep it moving before they get dealt with. Not everyone has a gimmick as good as Chief k or some other internet person.

Drake is rich and famous as fck off being corny.... Tyga drives what he wants, fukks who he wants, and he's not poor... these nikkas can't complain about sh1t.

Man I been saying this for the longest

If Baby hadn't come and save these, guys they would still be on the side of the house rapping or in they mama basement.

Baby bring you to the forefront, now it's up to you as an artist to excel.

Baby putting up all the "upfront" money as an investment so when it all come back , he stuff it in his pocket. Tyga lucky he aint :birdman::jawalrus::mjpls:that endorsement money
