How do you read that script as an actor and go through with that scene ?

Just awful writing.
And clearly part of an agenda.

Easy answer. Because nearly all of those Tyler Perry actors/actresses are not going to amount to anything outside of his productions, so you take what work you can get in spite of the script.

The only two I can think of who he helped create and became semi-successful are JR Ramirez and China Anne McClain.
