Idc so im not watching but I don't understand why he puts his name on everything he does.

His brand is seen as trash on the mainstream level so why not let the work stand on its own, and then at the end have your name in the credits?

Technically he left his name off the title. Like another director he mentions that it’s a Tyler Perry film. No foul in that.

Trailer is completely comical. From the storyline, to the melodramatics, to the faux overly emphasized accents, it's so whimsical, it's like a skit in a sketch comedy show. Something you'd see on Chappelle or Key & Peele. The videography and lighting makes it look like a fairytale which is what I thought it was at first.

If he's trying to be serious he needs to polish it up.

Last time I saw a trailer of his that was cinematic was For Colored Girls.

He lacked the nuance for that material as well tho.
