Cant get into this dudes music

its straight but because it’s not typical of the current sound it gets boasted as some cutting edge music that pushes the envelope and transcends hip hop. When really the soundscapes can be found in previous decades of rap. AOTY why? No quotables. Not really any standout verses. Is Tyler rapping better than Mach? Cole? Vince? The answer is NO.

This was a great album.

I like Tyler’s composition style - it’s very unique. He puts a lot of work into this, dude is incredibly talented.

Reminds me of old Kanye :yeshrug:
Honestly. I like some of the sad bars and shyt but overall yeah his production is his saving grace for me. His aesthetic and vision are corny.

Took some weeks but I finally get why folks hyped up “Sweet/I Thought You Wanted to Dance.” I rocked with the second half of the song but that first half jams

Nobody mentioned this interview? One of the best I've heard:

When did this nikka get this good? :dahell:

Dead serious too, is that what he's been doing since OF shyt? Never listened to ANY of his solos before this. This shyt is INCREDILE. :dahell:

He's matured as a writer but he's always been dope on production. Listen to Wolf asap. It's more grounded as a hip hop album and is still my favorite he's put out but the last 3 albums have been right there with it.

all his solos are good besides cherry bomb and even that got some shyt on it. But b*stard, flower boy and Igor are his best work tho.

This is a Nas forum so I know most of ya'll will think that. But in Hip-hop culture overall this got it

nas raps circles around Tyler even on his latest album at like 50 years old . Honestly it’s even disrespectful to NAS we compare the two :hubie:

but I can enjoy both albums.

Tyler is more creative. NAS got the substance and lyrics.
