Tyler really is an old soul. Nicca loves 90s R&B and respects hip hop music. I gotta give him credit for paying homage in this video. The nods to LL and the 80s and the message that people need to actually start feeling the music again is dope. Bringing back those aspects like dancing instead of just standing around trying to catch a vibe.

Second project since I've become a fan that I've been lukewarm on. It's short so it's easier to run it back and after the first few listens, it's cool. Chromakopia was the first one that I thought was ok.
Reading between the lines here, he basically confirmed today he made it on tour because Chromakopia felt too much like him crying in his diary and he didn't wanna keep performing that stuff for another year, makes sense, b*stard and Goblin were the only other 2 projects he made that leaned into the gloomy shyt

Not mad at that perspective :ehh: I remember Vince saying the first major thing he learned was to try to make some shyt you're fine with performing a million times cuz that's what touring is

Joe Budden has joked about this as well concerning his own music when he was doing shows, if you in a good mood it feels trash performing some shyt you made while you were spiralling

Alright like I asked in his last album thread, are any of these songs on here pure rapping with “traditional” rap production? Or is this mostly some left field shyt that I wouldn’t have any real interest in?

Sucka Free and Ring Ring Ring are fire, I've always loved that West Coast sound.

Album is cool for what it is and I enjoyed the first couple of listens, will see if more of the songs resonate over time, Tyler is clearly having fun though. I'm looking forward to running with this, good energy.

exorbitant legal fees
you guys can weigh in on this, but that beat switch at 2:57 on “Don’t Tap That Glass” was basically the same cadence as Ambitionz as a Ridah. Just talking about the beat. Absolutely not the same tone as Pac’s song, but this feels like Tyler was trying to make his west coast album. Not mad at it.
