its not the actual saying.. Its the spelling. I will say that dude probably stole the spelling from SOHH.

Im from Cali and I almost never see people spelling out 'breh' like that on twitter/Facebook or whatever. I starting to see it a little bit more often now but I think it's because of the Internet.
