Let's be real, before the pharrell dikk riding, tyler was a weirdo c00n of the highest degree, dude did the most c00n shyt. I don't feel bad for him getting the backlash. I think for a very long time this board was anti-tyler the creator.

Now he's made his money and doesn't need his white audience, now he's changing his tune lol

Some folks forgot about the “new” black wave. Pharrell, Donald Glover, kanye, Tyler and a few other folks were on that shyt. Then shyt got real with Ferguson and other stuff and those dudes hit a switch overnight. It was around the time Donald Glover put out this is America. All those dudes are opportunists who will ride whatever wave is popular. Id just listen to the music.

whats the goal of digging up his old tweets?

alternatively, what do people want from him right now?

I thought the whole point was people maturing and being better as they grow older. He pulling a reverse Kanye as far as I can tell.

What do people want from human beings?
mostly just for him to publicly acknowledge and denounce his past

Killing the racist stereotype.

Then you’ll know that those covers were used as satirical critiques of racism in the United State, and not as a tool to shock and garner controversy, like how Tyler used it.

Wasn;'t that what Tyler was doing with Gulfwang? And I'm not defending Tyler I'm trying to figure out what the morality of black face imagery is. Cuz that KMD album cover was a for profit album which was printed on other merchandise such as caps & shirts. You don't think shock and controversy was associated with that? wasn't there a lot of label problems getting that album released?

I'm just saying it's either all right, or it's all wrong. I hate this pick & choose, shyt. Tyler is wrong but were Nas & KMD right?

He should be able to grow and mature.. everybody should, but in a time where people want to go back and dig up lyrics from rappers in the 80’s and shyt Tyler got to get some of that too. The rappers from his time are getting older and I wouldn’t be surprised if people start bringing up them old tweets from 10-15 year ago or whatever.

I'm stunned anyone can't decipher the difference between satire/mocking racial imagery and using racial imagery to sell things to white people while constantly arguing black people need to get over the past/racism.

KMD were Five Percenters. Little Brother always had socially conscious songs and rhymes. The other guy was rocking KKK attire and constantly lampooning black people on twitter.

The Truth
Tyler seems like he is one of many who had phases in their lives while trying to figure themselves out, did things for attention they thought they desired, but didn’t know much yet about reality yet.. much about history but gained insight through time and experience…

The problem they now have is, that they did all online, on digital “record” (all the Internet really is), and now it comes back to bite them in the ass as time has gone on and they’ve grown into an older adult and found something they feel the need to stand for.

But internet is forever until the last server drops offline. A lot of people will go through something similar… especially while seeking fame and attention.. fake love, but just not in front of the world.
