True, but from what I've seen we just didn't document or write sh*t down as much as they did, which allows them to revise the history because they have notes. Even the most known aspect of the story of Mansa Musa, came from an Arab perspective.

I'm not saying there weren't any black historians that documented things, but a lot of our history was passed down orally. Now we have to rely on current research and historians putting the pieces together.

Also, the "winners" get to write and re-write history. Once whites got control of most of the globe, they changed the narrative to fit their MO.

Edit: I'll add that maybe there were some ancient scripts by Africans that were destroyed, but again that goes with the "winners" getting to write the history.

Great post.
That's what I was trying to get across.

The fact that you were surprised is a testament in how black history/excellence is buried, manipulated and suppressed.

Black people learning our own history is the key to our salvation. They know this, which is why they bury and manipulate the past to begin with.
I been knew who mansa musa was. Sad that most our people would look at u as if u are crazy for saying a black man was the richest in history.

Too many of us are ignorant of Africa and our history. You have to seek it yourself, ain't no teaching positive black history in the western world.

Cacs even try to make a joke out with that "we wuz kangs" BS. :dahell: While cacs have written history to suit them (people think whites created and developed every single civilisation advancing science, mathematics and whatever) while ignoring most of the disgusting despicable shyt they've done to the world. Biggest ignorance being how violent cacs are. :ld:

One thing we seriously need to stop doing as black people is being condescending and judgemental amongst each other once information is discovered and shared.

Happens SO MUCH on this board you would think people came out the womb being all knowing. All information is learned and taught. Don't shyt on the OP for just now finding this information, show him where he can find more and so that he too can pass on that information.

Musa, Mansa (1280-1337) | The Black Past: Remembered and Reclaimed

Meet Mansa Musa, The Richest Person In History

There's a bunch of info out there OP. The YouTube vid is pretty good. Also check out this book (you can find it on Amazon) called 'They came before Columbus.' Really good read

this probably says it the best. never heard mansa musa ever high school or even college. and even if he was mentioned it was very, very briefly.

while its easy to blame the "other race" for burying things like this, there's a lot that blacks in general can do to force this type of information out there and saturate the public with it. keyword here is "saturate" the public with it. this type of information, along with all the inventions blacks came up with, but were credited to a white person because the blacks who invented it couldnt get it patented (due to obvious discriminatory laws) - all this needs to be out there and forced down the public throats.

there are black millionaires and billionaires with disposable income. but, the racial pride has to be present for there to be any serious followthrough.
Nah breh we did a 4 week long unit on the kingdoms of Africa like sophomore years, learned hella shyt
