you do realize audition tapes always look like shyt compared to what an edited movie scene will end up looking like
its your mind telling you that because of the graininess and lack of camera cuts it sucks but the performance was much better than most amateur stuff out there trust me

Why do they make those crappy vid auditions anyway? Can't they just audition in front of the casting director or something?
schedule...sometimes they might be working in another part of the country and they can't fly out to the casting director anytime soon. Obviously once they dwindle down the top 2 or 3 they probably have to meet with the actual director or if they are a big enough name they just tell their agent they got the part and meet for contract
