Being drafted by such an incompetent franchise hurt him. Everyone who Lebron is compared to played for great franchises with all time great coaches and/or teammates.

Bird was drafted to the 2nd best franchise in NBA history, which was the best franchise in NBA history at the time (still might be it's debateable), and also had hall of fame teammates (Celtics acquired McHale and Parrish both in his 2nd season) almost immediately after entering the league.

Magic drafted to the GOAT NBA franchise, with Kareem to groom him.

Jordan made the Bulls one of the GOAT franchises, but had Phil, Pippen, and later Rodman, along with many great role players.

Kobe drafted by the Hornets and cried his way to a trade to the GOAT franchise with Phil as the coach and Shaq to shoulder the load, pause.

Lebron went to one of the worst franchises, with no structure and no good teammates, didn't have a great teammate until he went to the Heat and Wade only had 1 season left as a great player, and Bosh showed that he was a really good player but not a great player.

It's really not fair to compare Lebron's career to any of those players, he didn't have the luxury of a support system that was better than him that could lift him up until he went to the Heat and that began to slowly crumble along with Wade's knees almost immediately after he got there. There's no and never has been a reason for him to submit to the system in Cleveland completely because he has a higher basketball IQ than all of his coaches in his time there, and it still remains to be seen if Kyrie and Love can step up and be truly great players when it matters the most.

EDIT: In hindsight he should have stayed with the Heat, but Wade should've been willing to take a HUGE paycut to keep him there and add young talent around him.

...except that Mike Brown got fired for the exact same shyts. That doesn't fit the racism narrative, but as @Miami316 said, it DOES conform to the petulant child profile. :whoo:

Now everyone want to get all up in arms because a euro coach got fired and he had a good record. But you didn't see people in outrage when Mike Brown got fired when he had a good record. I wouldn't disagree that Bron might be hard to coach. But getting upset that he's not submissive just sits wrong with me in a racial way. I mean we really have people on this site talking about Bron didn't have a father in his life and that's why he has control issues. :martin:

When you are around generational athletes there's less coaching and more of the motivational stuff. In the case of Bron, you can't really say any coach had a huge impact on his game/mindset. I think Bron's coaches didn't have the skill to really challenge Bron like Phil challenged Mike and Kobe. But somehow a coach failing to really reach his star player's potential is the player's fault?
Massa white coach says "JUMP" to n____a black athlete, N____a black athlete spose ta say "how high massa.... anything for you massa white man":gladbron:

But black man get a little control in a white dominated world where owners look at their players as tools, toys, and things they own and some fans are like :beli:

:sas1: What a time to be alive

Its almost like everyone forgot the Donald Sterling incident so fast and the Atlanta Hawks situation. I'm always :patrice: when people start talking about players, especially black players, being more submissive and humble like they are children and not grown men who are capable of deciding how they should act.

does his money matter to you? or championships?

Everything as a package matters for PR purposes right? He's always going to have the championship arguments put against him though, not sure he can escape it unless he wins a couple in cleveland :manny:

This has nothing to do with Kobe

I understand that but the last week with all these LeBron threads it's been a lot of Kobe vs LeBron talk. Their respective fandoms trading shots back and forth. I'm just saying both should be appreciated becuz both are legends and all time greats.

Because Kobe wasn't just getting slandered by the media the last few months? Kobe is going to be revered the second he retires just like jordan and just like bron will. The league has really ate off of Brons stimulus package the last decade

jus stop bruh

they aint cut from teh same clothe

kobe is the last of a dying breed

duncan wont get the same treatment as kobe, let alone lebron

lebron will NEVER get the respect kobe has garnered in the league

bruh, kobe getting standing ovations in every AWAY arena this season. he having boxscores wid like 1/7 FG attempts, 2 points, 3 turnovers, and STILL gettin standing ovations for his complete body of work. kobe dun torched other teams for so much thru his career, he willed the respect of damn near every opponent hes had.

if u think lebron will get that level of respect when he retires ur delusional. lebron will get booed in fukin miami when he retires. he brought them 2 rings, and they'l still boo him.

Ain't this the nikka that Allen Iverson step over in the nba finals?

I'm pretty sure Lebron was still in high school somewhere in Akron like :lolbron:when it happened.
