Done.
word.@Ayo!-BEZ is right. read U-God's tweets. He was playing around. U-God is not the best Wu member but he has tons of dope verses. Wouldn't like seeing him retiring from this rap sh!t.

agreed.
these dudes really seem to not "get" how things work today. Same with Ghostface when he was shocked/angered that he had so many twitter fans yet no one bought Big Doe Rehab. U-God was probably looking at all the people they rock at concerts, yet his album came out last year and presumably sold next to nothing.
Fans of classic groups just want to hear...classic music. In the case of Wu, people buy tickets to hear Cream, Triumph, etc. So when U-God says he has a new album coming out no one really cares. The best way to get people's attention is to do something big - give them a product worth buying. Deck understands this and got it right with Czarface, and Ghostface got it right with 12 Reasons To Die. No one is looking for a U God album. But if U God did an album with say, El P for instance, then all of a sudden you've got some buzz; release a nice vinyl, good art work, etc and you're cooking.
These guys are never going to go plat or gold again, or even sell 100k records. The goal should be aiming at the collector type fan, who will buy a package if it looks good and is quality. BTW you can tell Raekwon doesn't understand this either. Nobody is checking for 2013/2014 Rae doing duet tracks; I follow Rae on twitter and all he does is try to sell thatsingle with Estelle. He should be trying to convince his core audience to check out his new stuff by appealing to them. He should be calling up Alchemist try to do a project together, or doing an album with Ghostface; get a new distribution thing going for a vinyl, nice art, CD, etc and go for it.

your right i got suckered by the mystique to buy ghost last album.
even though it was not that good the beats were amazing .
best thing about that album was i rapped on one of the beats...
12 reasons to Die is dope. Beats, rhymes, concept, everything. People expected something different because they saw RZA name attached to a Ghost album again. Cats expected Supreme Clientele when they should have expected what it was marketed as: Adrian Younge's and RZA's crime/love story concept album. Ghost did his thing on there.

i never liked the album and i spent like 20 + dollars for it got the brown tape the instrumentals the comic etc ...
we been having the same convo about this album for a year now bruh you love it and i hated it
just a diff. of opinion
i still think ghost is top five![]()
I'm willing to argue that he was "done" when this shyt dropped
would piss any oldhead off.
this hook at :42 is one of the worst moments in rap history![]()

Im comvinced im the only one that fukks with this.
i like the remix tape of 12 reasons to die wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the retail release.12 reasons to Die is dope. Beats, rhymes, concept, everything. he's been done for over 15 years already though![]()

You dudes are corny acting like U God hasn't put out bangers. Clean your ears out.

good post.. weird thing about rae is he just did this with cuban linx 2.. he saw how the buzz went crazy.. probably got more pub and promotion than ever before.. then he went right back to the same ishagreed.
