But then he can still surprise me like he did on the Talib Kweli album. That beat was kinda funky and original. The joints on Killah Priest weren't great on their own bit worked within the framing of the entire album so I wasn't mad really.

Even if he could get back to 8 Diagrams form it would be a blessing at this point.

my 2 cents

The Keynote Speaker is the follow up to U-God‘s slept on Dopium release. As with more of the Wu’s solo efforts, U-God has been struggling with the production in my opinion, but this album has a solid backdrop. I was really excited after hearing the leaks, but unfortunately those were the best parts of the album. It’s no coincidence that most leaks had features, as U-God’s solo cuts are definitely not where this album shines. What we’re left with is a solid album, that probably won’t get the recognition it deserves, but than again, this is not the masterpiece to break that chain.
