This shyt is nice, I'm liking the production and he's flowing. U-God has some goofy ass lines on here but this is dope so far.

I'd probably rank them

The Keynote Speaker - 4/5
Dopium - 3.5/5, maybe 3.75 (those remixes :scusthov:)

Gold Arms Redemption - 3/5

Mr Xcitement - :huhldup:/5

Never heard the Hillside Scramblers album.

that "Journey" track is alright ...and definitely like the "Fame" song with Styles P ... the "Tranzform" is alright.... I'm diggin the "Get Mine" track with that blues singing he attempting

Overall though .... I'll give it a 3.7 out of 5 ... :manny: ....... still better than Yeezus ... :yeshrug:

The 3 Rza beats on this are awful.

There's some joints but overall Dopium hit harder. He should fall back on hooks.

The RZA beats are disappointing without doubt. When i first heard Room Keeps Spinning, the room was literally spinning.... the hook and that beat f*cked me up sideways.

He does have the odd terrible line and the hooks are the low point of the album, but overall im surprised how much i f*cks with this, its grown on me. It's getting repeat spins which says it all.

Rza really needs to start chopping and looping again. I wonder if he really be feeling these newer beats. Like, that weak shyt he did on man with the iron fists with wiz khalifa & ghost? You think he thinks that's good? If so he needs to stop doing beats man. It's getting beyond fall off status.

But then he can still surprise me like he did on the Talib Kweli album. That beat was kinda funky and original. The joints on Killah Priest weren't great on their own bit worked within the framing of the entire album so I wasn't mad really.

Even if he could get back to 8 Diagrams form it would be a blessing at this point.

I'm a big RZA fan but i have to admit, his beats of late have been far from stand out.

I'm one of those guys that thinks PWOWR is contender for aoty, if not aoty. When i got through the first disk and see Energy Work as the last track i had built up so much dam energy myself from the piff i heard that i expected RZA to knock sh*t out that park. When it dropped i was kinda like .... ok. Its not bad, but it certainly wasn't great.

I couldn't understand why RZA didn't give Killah more material for the album in the first place, at least make sure the 2 he did give are bangin

Maybe RZA too caught up on his directing and acting career:manny:

I'm not ready to write him off yet though, he has given me way too much classic shyt over the years. I know RZA gonna feed us sooner or later.
