More likely the next decade is filled with massive wars. Various countries breaking apart along ethnic/religious lines. Throw in global cooling, fresh water depletion, pandemics, etc...



But some of the stuff they talk about, will be possible.. with far less people around. Less people will be easier to control. Brave New World/Rollerball is looking far more likely then 1984. But it wouldn't be until after the 2020s..
