The liberal takeaway from this HAS to be that identity politics have failed under our current legislative system. You can't sit back, let all these judges get appointed, watch them change the rules of the game, then try to play the same old game. Biden tried that and immediately got checked by the "reverse racism" bullshyt. And it's set up to ensure a sympathetic Trump judge always gets these cases. The recent Supreme Court ruling that nuked justice injunctions WILL ultimately help democrats in the short term though. If that ruling happened during the Biden years, the black farmers would have gotten their money faster. But the next step would simply be to rush the case to the Supreme Court, who will shytcan it.

The only way to combat this is with a complete takeover of federal departments when the next dem president wins. You need people at the Department Of Agriculture who simply rubber stamp federal funds for black people. And you cover your tracks by also rubber stamping for white people. Flood the money to farms. It's the only way to fix this. Same applies to SBA....hand out loans to black people, and cover it by doing the same for whites.
You can’t do it explicitly. 40% of something is more than 0% of nothing.

We USED to understand this. Minority contracting itself wasn’t predicated on getting 100% of everything.

They have to deal with the Supreme Court and the only way I think it works is to institute term limits on all of them. Nothing matters if they don’t either add seats or even better term limit them.

Trump is trying to replace Alito or Thomas with Bove. If that doesn’t tell you what The long term plan is nothing will.

You do know they had to split that money with WHITE and hispanic farmers too after the lawsuit right??!:comeon:
Why do you keep lying about this after you've been informed over and over again about it? Why do you constantly deflect to avoid criticizing Trump?

Of the 2.2b funds, over half went to Black farmers exclusively. These were the funds earmarked for them, but blocked by white farmers and Trump admin people. Almost 70% of the funds went to an overwhelming majority of the recipients who were Black.

$1.5 billion of the funding provided under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act will go directly Black farmers, Tracy Lloyd McCurty, executive director of Black Belt Justice Center, said.

its real simple either black folks vote for Copmala and the black folks becomes politically irrelevant which is their plan or we vote for Trump and have a fighting chance. Those are the only two choices we got

I just want the DNC to lose mostly.

Right, that's why long term the injunction ban won't fix this. So just get the funds and pay them out instead of allowing red tape or fukkery to slow things down. And now there's a precedent where you can fire anyone you want at the department, making it easier.

It’s gonna take a lot of systemic changes to correct this shyt. I honestly don’t know what these crackers are on but resentment and hate. With that said what you’re saying makes sense but I don’t doubt republicans will run to the SC to either stop or overturn it. They don’t care. The SC being 6-3 and Trump is the root of all this dysfunction.

The only play republicans would have is restricting funds which would hurt white farmers. And to do that they'd need to control the house. More than likely they're going to lose the house next year. To really get this right dems need to win the house next year and retain it after winning the 2028 presidential election. That way dems control the appropriations process. So the USDA gets the money and the person you've appointed to run it ensures the money is pumped out to black (and white farms). Republicans will complain but there is no legal recourse. That's why ensuring white farmers still get loans is essential. It shields you from any claims of discrimination.

The problem I had with Obama and Biden is that they both made the same mistake. Both made Tom Vilsack the Secretary of Agriculture. And sure on paper he was a great pick. everyone in the farming industry liked him. But it was clear that he did very little to address black farmer concerns or help them. And while Biden gets credit for handing out money to black farmers, I still think Vilsack was a poor choice to administer all that. The next Secretary of Agriculture HAS to be someone willing to appoint black people within the department who ensure money goes out to our farmers and red tape is cut. The country is FULL of white farmers who get fed money and still run shytty farms that go belly up (and nobody complains about fed money being wasted). Let black farmers have that same opportunity....

You mean we mad that money specifically doled out to only black farmers was forcibly split between everyone who had NO claim to it.... :beli: but everytime its something specific to other groups we dont get shyt...:comeon:

The election over ya'll lost get over it.

Bothsiders this. Bothsiders that.

I remember when the narrative was nobody cares what [Bothsiders] think they have no real power it's just internet talk. Now it's Bothsiders lost us the election.

Do we not have power or did we lose you the election.

With that said I hope Dems get some seats midterms. Republicans kicked ya'll back in then stomped down on ya'll.

Are they eligible for subsidies the white farmers are receiving or was this something additional on top of that to address historical injustice?
