Tried telling this to people for months now. I can link to all the posts on here:

Stock up on appliances and electronics that you may need or want, get any repairs done, etc. because you won’t be getting them at these ‘cheap’ prices for a long long time. Especially because of how expensive everyday normal things will cost.

It was like seeing the Pandemic coming from months away. People had time to prepare.

Now people have until about May 10 and shelves are already clearing.

It won’t get to the other extreme of nuclear war/doompacker level, but the reality is it’ll get financially incredibly uncomfortable worse and longer than the pandemic.

This guy round 2 was going to be bad news and cause a lot of pain and expense for a long period of time. It was clear as day to get ready.

Heard one economist talking when asked if shelves would be empty, he said perhaps (some items) but could could be full as nobody is buying with prices offered

Shelves will be empty initially due to the buying surge and be stacked later on due to people unable to afford them due to high prices and buying other overpriced necessities.

What I’m additionally wondering is what happens to all the other luxuries like entertainment, gadgets, streaming, etc. People will be cancelling subscriptions which will probably mean prices go up for everyone else or more ads and you’ll have to get the deluxe deluxe version of the service to be ad-free.

Going to cost a lot by of money keeping subscriptions running and some people need those services.

At the end of the day, people don’t live in a vacuum. When a large amount of people are hurting financially it’ll affect sales which will cause a price reaction everyone else will shoulder. A lot of companies have “pricing power” as well to where they can name their price and people will buy it. To some people their phone is legit more valuable to them than their car so they’ll buy an insanely priced phone and sucks for everyone else.

Breh it’s an insane switch like a team missing a dunk in the fourth quarter, getting pissed and hitting a flagrant foul on a three point shot that went in, then getting ejected because they got into a fight with another player out of frustration.

So instead of a dunk, you give up like 11 points due to the 4 point play, flagrant free throws, ejection free throws and another 3 pointer due to the technical in a tight contested game.

Like what a way to shoot yourself in the foot for a country.
