Syria doesn't have an army
They do. Not the same army that was there in 2011-2012 due to being over stretched, defections, loss of thousands in the war.
Hezbollah and other Shia militias from Iraq/Iran are obviously a big part of the fighting force... but there is still a Syrian army which is about half of its size from 5-6 years ago.
How is the Syrian gov't going to kill their own people if the government has no army...
I don't know why people think we're just gonna sit out of Syria.

put in a western friendly gov so pipelines can be run to Europe and Syrian land can be confiscated down the line.
