Drummond's never got extended minutes so we don't have that great of a sample size to see how much of a leap he can make as a bona fide starter or player who gets significant minutes.

Fair point on Jordan but his size and defensive prowess by itself warrants inclusion.

Wouldn't be the end of the world if Drummond got in over Jordan though.

I don't know why you question whether Drummond's game would translate when you compare him to Howard & Jordan. Jordan's offensive game consists of dunks and putbacks and he's an awful FT shooter just like Drummond. And the same goes for Dwight.

Drummond will be on the team. He paid his dues during the WC already.

I can't easily think of any players under the current infrastructure that went from not being on the WC to being on the Olympic team. Even Durant played on the WC team first. I think Harden might be an exception. I remember JVG championing him a spot. Kobe never played in the WC either before joining the Olympic fray. I just remembered that.
