I have a hard time calling uber a market places when they dictate the prices and then take a cut out of the prices they themselves set.
Likely just a standard $/mile and/or amount they have to pay drivers plus the markup they need for profit (which hasn’t happened)
right before the election too, so these shytheads on the right can rub it in that big government dems shut down uber. thats fukkin greatJust got a push notifications from Uber app that the service may shut down in Cali as soon as Thurs.
How does Uber lose money ?
Why is the cost of rides so high ?
And who is dictating what the cost of a ride even is ?
So it's a number made up out of thin air...
So there losses are based off a random number that they make up out of thin air...
Also a "markup" on what exactly ? They do not pay for cars...they do not pay for maintenance...they do not pay for gas...they do not pay insurance for the vehicles...
They have too much competition
They can’t charge enough to make a profit and be more expensive than Lyft, Taxis, mass transit, renting cars are people using their own vehicles
Well if you can't turn a profit and a competitive industry...maybe you shouldn't have a business in that industry
