That’s 3.0 miles not 30 miles and the time is estimated likely due to traffic. However, Uber is playing games, though.
Dude, after gas and mileage on your car (plus dead miles) it’s not even breaking even. Also, you’re not guaranteed that hourly rate EVERY hour

Few months ago, I took an Uber from a hotel in New Cairo to the Pyramids in Giza.uber is a ripoff in kenya id have a 45 min drive and dude was getting like 5 us dollars
Ride was 26 miles and took 50 minutes.
Cost $5.96 including tip.
shyt is pretty bad gig imo. My friend was doing Instacart and sure he'd get good money from tips. But when you factor in gas, maintenance, taxes etc.. it's not worth the hassle imo. Better to get a 9-5 and maybe do it for some spare change, but can't do it as a serious job.

The financials don't add up. But not to mention having to deal with weirdos and rude people.
I guess if you drive early mornings that'll reduce the chance of dealing with those. But still, you never know who you'll pick up in that business.
True, but even the grocery delivery services ain't worth it, the way I see it. I'm not sure which pays the most, probably grocery delivery is the best out of Uber eats and regular Uber, I'm not sure. Either way, I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze

Probably. And they were privately owned, so they didn’t have shareholders pressuring them to be profitable.
