Uber let's passengers click "quiet ride" button so they don't talk to drivers

For real, if I drove for Uber or Lyft, I'd only take the passengers who selected the 'quiet' option.
When I drive, I don’t like to talk. It be the passengers trying to push a convo.
Why did you stop?
Thinking of doing Uber over the summer just to cover my increase in car insurance due to no winter tire discount
If this truly is a thing then I am on board.
These drivers in NY want to talk about a bunch of nothing to a point where at least 5, uh immigrant, drivers have whines about how hard it is to make it in NY and all of their $ goes to bills (as if I give a shyt)
Then you gave the drivers who are already on calls when you get in the fukking car. That’s an automatic 1 star. Automatic 1 star for the ones not taking toll roads that are more convenient and allow me to avoid rolling thru shytty areas with traffic (entire Washington Heights and Inwood).
If I could toggle that “don’t talk to me” option in advance, I would do it.

For a silly reason. TLC suspense my TLC license because I forgot to retake my drug test and they were fining me.
I didn’t realize they were trying to contact me because the email I applied my TLC with doesn’t exist anymore so I never got their notifications.
So I surrendered my license and did Uber Eats from then on.
But Uber was great money for me. Made $1,000 weekly.
