I missed my flight in Barcelona because the train was off, ended up using Uber for my flight a couple days later, you have to put your credit card into it, and the fare gets paid automatically you dont need any cash on hand, not sure if there is other ways to pay but that is how I did, I dont see many people killing drivers when their number and CC is tied to the account it's instant Jail if you have half decent cops in the city.
:ehh: Good point. Still a driver accident away though

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
This is absolutely wrong lol

If they make it proprietary they could make more money. Instead of competing they could :eat: off they competitors. They've already proved their model works. At the end of the day it's just software. They could lease it to taxi companies which in turn they could track their drivers. Über could take a usage charge and the taxi companies could take their cut automatically as well. Eventually uber and others like it will get regulated. It's only a matter of time.

Your description of how uber works is 100% wrong.

Edit: why are you even in higher learning? Over the years you have proven yourself to be the dumbest motherfukker on here...and not trolling or acting dumb...legitimately ignorant and follish and wrong a LOT. You love being willfully stupid...you are lower learning...you are confidently ignorant

Ok.. so Uber doesn't use software (an app) to connect drivers with passengers allowing passengers to organize pick ups based on the car they want? And the passegers can't see on a map where drivers are? :mjpls: and they don't use paypal to pay? I've used Uber before fukk nikka and their business model is simple. You act like it's some complex transportation system. Uber and others like them skirt rules taxi companies have to abide by because their business model is based on the software not the drivers which allows them the ability to avoid paying certain fees and abide by certain regulations. It also limits their liability. Anybody that drives for Uber doesn't need to buy a taxi medallion. I'm ONLY saying they could monetize their SOFTWARE better by marketing to taxi companies (if its patented).

And I don't come on here seeking approval from bytches like you or anybody else. I can post what the fukk I want :pacspit: I give two shyts about you or anybody else on here... And further more if I'm such a shytty poster, it would be hard for me to have over 3000 more daps that posts :mjpls:

U don't think? You CAN. I have. And you would be stupid not to. I ain't giving out my cc info if I don't have to. I used Facebook as a metaphor. They service and business model is simplistic but for whatever reason he didn't get it so I was trying to explain it in a way he could possibly understand. Uber is an APP. And even though they are really a taxi service that's not how they designated their business. Eventually they will be forced to redesignate or they will be squeezed out. Copy cat apps and companies will also pop up which will hurt them. They need to either redesignate or look to partner with other transportation companies while they still can.

I can't wait till Uber breaks the back of Taxi companies. Cabbies are :umad: cause they can't compete with a better product. People don't necessarily choose Uber based on pricing, they do it because they provide a better overall service.

Cabbies have been treating their customers like shyt for long enough. It is time that we as consumers had a real choice.

I agree, and use uber reguarly, but cab drivers at least know the city they're driving around in and uber drivers are notorious at going by GPS only and asking FOR directions. thats very annoying.

I've used uber plenty of times in NYC, it's definitely useful if your off somewhere where you can't pull a yellow cab. But like someone said above, these nikkaz don't even know their fukking city, and I'm not from New York, so when I tell them I need to go somewhere, there punching that shyt in their gps or asking me what's the best way to get there :mindblown: at least with the yellow cab, them nikkas know all the quickest routes. Also, uber isn't always the cheapest option compared to the yellow cab. I've paid cheaper with yellow cabs more often than not vs uber, again, that's because the uber drivers don't know where the fuk they are going lol

True. But I'd rather deal with that than:

1. Empty cabs passing me by at 3:30am in January
2. Dirty cabs
3. Drivers with Body Odor
4. Rude Drivers
5. Drivers lying about card machines because they don't want to accept credit cards.

100% agreed. I've dipped out on them for #5 calling their bluff "Card or nothing what you gonna do? *walks into apartment building*"

This goes back to that thread yesterday about wage theft. Companies are trying to get over by using "independent contractors". This is going to be interesting how it pans out. Imo idk if it'll work out too well for Uber in the long run, there's just alot going against them. And we haven't had a major newsworthy catastrophe regarding an Uber driver. I went to school with someone whose father was killed last summer as a taxi driver. If/when that happens to an Uber driver...:lupe:

How can that happen when Uber has the person's information and the drivers do not carry cash.

You're right, @Raiders mentioned the same thing earlier. But I wasn't really worried about the driver being robbed per se, just if a random senseless act of violence were to happen to a driver my question would be how the media, govt, uber, public react? I didn't realize that Uber didn't accept cash so something like that is less likely to happen. With that said what about a fatal car accident? Would there be any media backlash regarding that? Idk what Uber's liability policy is but it's just something to think about
