Uber literally cost twice as much as lyft. That's insane. In the field that they are in you should not cost double your competition.

it's actually true.

the problem is, the politicians who support medicare for all, want to tax the shyt out of all of their uber executive asses and they would rather have their money than give a fukk about the health of their drivers. :unimpressed:

Start a multi-billion dollar business then come back and tell us how you solved the health issue for all your workers and contractors

You seem to have all the answers mr. coli union representative

I wont lie, I have too, but Im not gonna cape for uber here. nikkas driving are doing a whole ass job, and doing it better than professional cabbies, so fukk it, find a way to treat them like the employees they are, or fukk off.

I stay siding with the workers rather than the corporations even though the shyt effects my investments usually. But I don't own any Lyft or Uber, I saw these issues coming miles away. This is like Amazon and sales tax all over again, little by little state by state will force the same rules CA has eventually.

Another con-munist coli poster who doesn’t understand economics or how rideshare works.

They are not cabbies. They were never meant to be regular employees because that is not the selling point of Uber. They’re regular people with cars looking to make extra money.

Uber is a platform allowing them to do that. Period.

Stop making this more complicated

They need to pay a living wage and unemployment and then we cool. Why should I subsidize tech Bros cashing out their stock for billions while household investors stay stuck with junk stock.

Uber and Lyft drivers shouldn't be getting PUI

Can't get your mail-in ballot or mail it in if you got it because USPS is fukked. :sas1:

Can't drive to the polling station because your car got repossessed. :sas1:

Can't catch an Uber to the polling station because that's conveniently shut down. :sas1:

Can't take the bus to the polling station because America never invested enough in public transit and many nearby polling stations were closed so you would need to spend the entire day riding multiple buses to get there. :sas1:

Somehow you get to the polling station and they tell you "OOPS! You're not registered to vote! You thought you were? Nope, sorry! Here's a provisional ballot that may never be counted and we can't mail to the appropriate place." :sas1:

You miraculously get into a voting booth and the electronic voting machine accidentally records that you voted for Trump. :sas1:

You fill out a paper ballot and the nice old ladies running the polling station give you the "I VOTED" sticker and after you leave they throw your ballot into a paper shredder because they heard from Q-Anon that all the young and/or non-white people voting have been brainwashed by socialist pedophiles. :sas1:

But don't worry. All you gotta do is vote. :sas2:

:laff:

All this just to say you want trump reelected damn

the ether
their goal was to coast on a model that was legally questionable until there were self driving cars, then all those uber drivers would be jobless anyway.

fukk them

fukk "the gig economy"

america is a joke. so are tech bros with "new ideas" that is literally just undercutting regulations and banking on getting rich because they literally run all of the competition following regulations out of business.

i hope uber goes bankrupt and all their executives go to jail one day.

:manny:
Yup.

I dont condone this shyt, as an Uber driver :yeshrug:

I accept the tradeoff that comes with contract work. I don't have a boss and I work whenever I want. As a consequence, I have to pay my own health insurance.

Besides... Uber is hemorhaging money, and you expect them to give you more??

Uber is paying us more then they can afford already. This movement is going to bankrupt the company :mjlol:

The problem is uber cut the drivers pay continuously.

Uber hasn't made a profit
Y'all are following the clues. If Uber isn't making a profit, you know what they're doing, right? Like every other venture capital tech company, they're trying to coast on hemorraging money while dominating market share. Once they have sufficiently pushed everyone else out of the market and monopolized the playing field, they will:

A. hike prices
B. cut worker benefits even more or lay off workers altogether

And by that point you'll no longer have other options to turn to because letting them skate by with bullshyt allowed them to push everyone else out, so now they'll set the rules they want.

Ayyyyoo you mad my guy :dead:. Something tells me that you a salty uber driver :heh:. Just get a real job instead:win:.
Aye when I couldn’t find adequate work uber/lyft was there for your boy. I brought in on average about $23hr only working about 5 hours a day with no nights or weekends. Had I actually worked those I could’ve seen at least $34/35 after tips but I didn’t want to give drunk asses rides at 3am and risk someone puking in my whip :hhh:

All that said driving for them is a real job where you can make real money if you figure out how to drive on both platforms and go where people need rides.

I fukked with ride share cause it disrupted taxis but honestly that shyt was never a real NEED. Haven't taken an uber or lyft all year, when I randomly checked prices yesterday for my most common route (airport) it was $60+. fukk all that. I can park at the airport for a week for less than that

damn what about all them dudes who financed their car thru uber and need to drive uber just to pay the car off :dwillhuh:

Any uber drivers in here, are the benefits worth the tradeoff? If you're an employee I assume uber will get to set your schedule, dictate your route, approve or deny time-off requests, set dress code etc

I always thought the main attraction to Uber was the ability to "be your own boss" and decide how much you want to work and make.

I do it on the side and have done it FT in the past (just 2 try it out) and its not worth it to me. Although both them and Lyft have constantly slashed the driver's cut; It still can't be beat in terms of autonomy and being able to have money on hand immediately 7 days a week with instant transactions.

But, like someone else said, we all know that they've basically been tryna coast in muddy waters till they get the self driving shyt popping then just all us mf's to the side. Thats their mf problem right there. Both them and Lyft be sinking money into research and development on some dumb shyt.

You right bruh. I don’t care for corporations either.. but literally the selling point is you don’t have to be an employee with us.. you are your own boss, here is a side hustle for you. People willingly sign on knowing that
