Uber Probably Won't Be Around In 10 Years lol

Even Trollys That Run On 1 Continuious Track Cant Be Trusted To Be Automated, Let Alone A Damn Car

We Have Actual HUMANS Who Have Driven Into Lakes Cause Google Maps Told Them Too, Imagine An Automated Car lol

If Automated Modes Of Transportation Is Gonna Happen It's Gonna Be Trains And Trams First

Cars Have Long Way To Go

Trains and trams can be automated

See, you're still debating this but there's nothing to argue. It's a fact. Automated vehicles (and jobs) are coming soon.

And the tech are much more automated than you think and have driven a million miles.

There's a lot of info out there... it's scary what's it going to do to the rest of the economy

Never Said shyt Can't Happen It's Just Gonna Be Further Than Most Expect, I'm Sure Years Ago People Expected It To Happen By Now, They Tested A Pilot Program And Already Scraped It, Back To Square One

I'm not saying they don't have an obligation to improve or perfect their technology, but dudes in here are having a conniption like automated cars will never work and that they don't trust them :russ: almost every crash an automated vehicle has been involved in is because of human drivers being too aggressive/not paying attention.

Automated cars are coming but, i'm not getting into them shyts until they're on version 10

the whole thing is a bad idea and a waste of money, only way it could work would be if all cars on the road were automated
and that would take a long time to implement

what are they going to do when people get in these cars just to steal them

or what will happen if someone hacks the car, etc

How that going to work lmfao:russ: people gotta get to work and go out. They would riot if the govt took away personal cars

And I agree automation is inevitable but I don't see the govt helping. I see politicians delaying or blocking it to reduce job loss in their areas

You lmfao now.. but they would find a way. :yeshrug:

Politicians will do what the corporations tell them to do at that point. A future of automation like this.. well the little guy don't got no voice then.

Humanity
let me break this down real quick.

the companies behind automated driving face one problem after their tech is ready (and it may already be)....
that problem is dealing with other cars that are driven by humans.

if they approached a third world city and paid the them for one day of only automated driving and showed impressive results it would be a wrap.
if they approached a first world city and got a section of the the area to only use automated cars with impressive results it would be a wrap.

this shyt is gonna happen but there needs to be a display on a large scale that people can look at and say :whoo:

knocking out self driven cars is gonna need a watershed moment like that to really make it happen.
the two co-existing is gonna fukk up the ultimate goal and will never reveal the potential of having all automated cars.

btw, i enjoy driving.

But the technology still sucks and is dangerous. Who cares about the competition if they cannot guarantee any car crashes.. :why: if you aren't gonna make it true a.i. that can learn and drive flawless like a fukking video game what's the point?!?
the tech doesn't suck. i'll keep saying this til yall get it.

guess who hit who in this incident?

The accident occurred when the driver of a second vehicle "failed to yield" to the Uber vehicle while making a turn, said Josie Montenegro, a spokeswoman for the Tempe Police Department.

This means, that in order to truly have a bunch of autonomous cars on the road making safety many times better. we will need to take away a human's privilege to drive. we human's are more of the problem then these robo cars. We are the ones that dont follow the rules most of the time. we are the ones that dont allow people to merge over in front of us. we are the people who can't stand someone getting in front of us so we speed up and mess up traffic even worse. we are the people that can't see someone crossing the street in our blind spot while we're making that right turn, etc, etc, etc.

you put these cars on the road with other robo cars and no humans. watch the safety go up like crazy and watch the traffic accidents/traffic deaths plummet.

Road Crash Statistics
Annual United States Road Crash Statistics

  • Over 37,000 people die in road crashes each year
  • An additional 2.35 million are injured or disabled
  • Over 1,600 children under 15 years of age die each year
  • Nearly 8,000 people are killed in crashes involving drivers ages 16-20
  • Road crashes cost the U.S. $230.6 billion per year, or an average of $820 per person
  • Road crashes are the single greatest annual cause of death of healthy U.S. citizens traveling abroad

^^thats what we humans do in cars. and we only have 2 incidents of these robo cars crashing in what time span? That should tell you right there. they are better drives than us.

Nah I know money talks but them politicians need to reelected... are people going to still fall for "automation regulation killing jobs " when automation is snatching jobs
