I would like to add, every test run of UBI around the world has failed.

African Americans need targeted assistance like we had targeted destabilization. UBI is fine but we need UBI AND Reparations this is not an either/or. If you talking UBI but you’re not talking Reparations you are not fixing the problem.

I'd like some proof on this, because from my research the test of UBI have all been successful.
I agree, but Black People needs whichever comes first.

Keep in mind I'm African and West Indian and first gen I dont have a horse in this rate but if you calculate the years of free labor AAs gave to build America it goes up to $17 TRILLION dollars.
The racial wealth gap is at the highest it's ever been!
It would take over 200 years for the Average Black family to accrue the same amount of wealth that the average white family has today!
Black wealth is speculated to be at $500 by 2050!
I'm sorry when these Democrats try to sidestep the reparations conversation by talking about socialist policies like UBI and Medicare for all it doesnt discuss current levels of inequality created by decades systemic racism...we can't view the black struggle in America through a socialist lens primarily. Its disingenuous.

This is where alot of Democractic Socialists miss me. And even some Justice Democrats. They really trying to avoid discussing reparations as if they somehow aren't necessary or feasible when many other groups have been give reparations.

UBI is far more logical than reparations, and far more likely to happen simply because of where technology is taking us. But there's no guarantee it happens. Even liberal ass Switzerland rejected UBI at the polls a couple years ago. Given that they tend to be at least a decade ahead of the US on social/economic issues, I don't see it happening here anytime soon. Then there's the issue of how immigration and migration have impacted Europe's views on liberal economic policies. White Europeans are cutting their feet off to ensure brown people can't use the benefits. That would delay UBI even more...
