Don't blame Lux and Mook for demanding large sums of money, blame the leagues. If you're not URL there's no guaranteed return on investment. If Smack won't give Hitman 30k there's no logical reason for Udubb to do it. They're in over their head.

I disagree, only because there's no way a league that does PPV and one that doesn't can have the same valuation methods. But we do know that UDUBB has a history with doing PPV's, both live and on demand. So if something went wrong, they can't blame anyone but themselves.

exactly, even when the camera nikka was lookin in the crowd it aint look too crazy

30k my ass hitman :camby: he's done in battlerap for atleast a year
In his defense, his valuation is based on him having 4 of the top 5 URL battles (view wise) of all time, so youtube views must be factored in before he's written off

nikkas already did the math on youtube view money

it aint shyt, all those views combined only got url a couple extra racks

the money is in ticket sales first and foremost, and then ppv

they didn't sell out ticket sales and a ton of people askin for refunds because the ppv was terrible :camby:

Everyone is overestimating their value and having too much confidence in the product.

-Hitman thinks he's worth 30k
-Udubb thinks they can see a large return
-Fans paid for PPV

Battle rap is too much of a niche to be handing out that type of money. Let URL do that and just book mid tiers. They could have flown out Danny and B Dot for a fraction of the cost. There's no top tier who's even putting on good performances but you book two for a battle that lost all it's buzz. I can't understand what these leagues are thinking. They're still booking Rex in 2017:hhh:

All top tiers need to be phased out except for Roc.

Look, there is nothing wrong with asking you what you're worth. Just be prepared to either get it or not get it. Hell, even negotiate. I think after SM2, it was the beginning of the end. Reality set in. Unbias made a good point about SMACK URL in a blog. He was like battle rappers seeing how Smack is doing it big and flossin' around would give the impression that SMACK URL got that bread like that. Mook letting the cat of the bag made nikkas turn their heads around and start counting how much the league was actually making. So Lux chimes in with what he wants....Hollow....Hitman.....hell even Clips made that long ass blog about the bread he was supposed to get. Domino effect.

We're a few years later in battle rap and what we kept hearing is the era of the bag is over. Now, the leagues, battlers, fans, bloggers, and etc. alike have to understand there's a cap now on how much is coming and going in terms of money overall. Sponsors come in but its not like what it was before. I hope HS2 is the last of this. Because SMACK URL delivering the BL series, RBE with the Validation joints and all of their other battles, and KOTD doing the bunker is helping give us quality battles when we can't have big events that cost a shyt load of money.

SM2 didn't ruin anything. You guys act like Magic and Verb were asking for 20K. Everyone understood Lux and Mook were on another level. What messed things up was not top tiers asking for more money it was them not showing up prepared. Rex was consistently getting paid and giving us 3 rounds of mixtape bars. Blame them. Smack paid them, promoted them, and secured venues so he did his part. The bag isn't there because they fukked up the money being lazy.

Stop, my nikka, just stop. No one said SM2 ruined anything. It was the statement made. Not the event. Don't throw all this stuff with Rex and all this. Argue all you want but that shyt Mook said did start a trend of the whole thing of the bag now. Before that, did we even know or consider who was getting paid what out in the public before? No.

The only thing Mook deserves blame for is asking for 5 round vs Iron. He helped everyone get paid more. I don't see what he has to do with this. Mook had been a non participant for years. Any failings in battle rap are not his fault.
