He always fought like that but because he's older he's not able to get that half inch back anymore that would allow him to roll the punch or get away

Yea, it’s old man Anderson Silva vibes but without the ground game to delay the inevitable.

Bones has a systematic Floyd-like style that allows him to “decision” younger/stronger opponents even as he gets older. No need to trade in the pocket for extended periods.

Conversely, Izzy’s last 4 fights he gets pulled into deep waters and doesn’t have an ace up the sleeve. Gotta stay in the pocket and swing. A+ accuracy, B/B+ power, D+/C- ground game.

The first 2 alone keeps him elite, but we see the limitations with age, going up in weight class or fighting other accurate strikers with more power.

I just don’t understand DDP. He’s a testament to how historically trash MW is because he could not get away with this at any other division

Bad cardio
Terrible footwork
Throws and lunges way over his feet
Literally has no pocket boxing. He either kicks or you have to move backwards for him to hit you

And is still like 24-2 :mindblown:
just his brutness and using his entire body frame and overall mass, if he was a oure wrestler, boxer or a martial artist (not MMA) would he be that effective? Maybe so or not.

I told no lies...that was an early stoppage i dont care what anyone says. Also, he was in the exact same situation in the 2nd fight and that time, the ref didnt stop it, and look at what happened
I like Alex but i have a good memory. Izzy was winning that first fight easily, and the second win was not a fukking fluke, come on. Even those kickboxing fights they had, they were close. Izzy is a hell of a fighter, to see him lose to DDP and Sean is just :dahell:

He's moving up, he's moving down.
Pick a division...
wants to lay everyone out with them stone hands.

they get in there, and just stand right in front of him, when we all know, that all you have to do is take him down....but they dont. they get shook.

They're arrogant. They want to show the world that they can stay and kickbox with him, well... they cant.
Sure, he's strong AF, so its hard to keep him down if you're not a great wrestler
Can you imagine if Alex made the transition to MMA sooner :whoo:

while this will be entertaining it showcases the carnie nature of the ufc if he can get a title shot immediately moving down again leap frogging the rankings.
Bruh, he’s not going down in weight again. BUT it’s Alex Pereira. Can do it if he wants to:yeshrug:. He saved 2/3 big UFC cards & is excitingAF. Huge knockouts everytime. He’s gonna do what he wants at this point. Dana & fans luv him
