I don't think Rory is done or Robbie stole his soul. Hes a slow, methodical measured fighter who works at a pace he likes. Thompson just didn't let him establish anything. I though Rory would do well because he fought a similar guy like Condit. But that was damn near 6 years ago and Wonderboy on another level with the movement and striking.

I wouldn't agree...Rory is definitely a "jab" distance fighter and Hendriks does just enough to win...That is why he lost to Lawler, he thought he was ahead and just started to coast...
Wonderboy lost to Matt Brown, and that is the type of grinder I am talking about...Matt Brown, when healthy, will give you a run for your money...

That was one of his 1st fights in the UFC and he has improved a lot since then, especially his takedown defense.
Matt Brown loss was when he had zero takedown defense and his distance management wasn't what it is now, can't really use that fight to evaluate what kind of fighter he is now.
Thompson had no semblance of TDD or defensive grappling then. Brown was taking him down at will. Brown is not beating him today.
Then Thompson should fight Maia...I see Thompson beating Lawler by points or possibly a KO...:Lawler been slumped by Nick Diaz...
Maia is actually a tougher fight for Thompson than Lawler...That's why these rankings are useless...

Rory should have incorporated leg kicks WB had a wide base and he seems to keep his weight down on his front leg. Rory shoulda destroyed that front leg. Anyone fighting WB should literally oblique or inside or outside leg kick him. Once you have him adjust to the leg kicks then you start your attack. I really thought Rory was gonna do that but he didn't

The fuk is wrong with your reading, he lost to the lw champion x2 so obviously as long as RDJ got the belt cerrone is done at lw just like rashad and Franklin were in their respective weightclasses. He can't afford to take an L this early in his voyage at MW. He even said it himself according to the UFC he doesn't mean shyt 
you would have been better off calling me out on the ME can't tell if it was methodical/gunshy Rory rearing his ugly head or if it was the ghost of Lawler affecting his performance but gymkata surprised me with that performance esp his TDD. Lawler is a more smarter/talented version of brown so that will be a perfect gauge to tell if WB has really gotten better

Thompson would destroy Matt Brown if they fought again and it wouldn't even be close. Even though Thompson extends his lead leg I don't think leg kicks would be very effective against him unless you have the speed of Cowboy he covers distance too well.
