Yea this fight was not the time for Zombie to be a patient counter striker. Ortega really didn’t look all that different he’s always had decent striking. They made it sound like he was Maia before this fight.

Speaking of what happened to that Zabit? He was suppose to fight Yair next week but it was never official than it switch to him possibly fighting Volk

Speaks to how inactive the division has been, alot of these dudes haven't been fighting. Volk said a few months ago they need to get their shyt together.

Ortega took 2 years off and came back better that ever.
With that southpaw style he showed tonight and his submission game he will be a huge problem for anyone at 145. I think Volk is in big trouble

They made so much in the prefight about not going Zombie style but thats what was working for him in that 5th round. Hell his whole career

That elbow got him thinking too much. Great fight overall. Ortega looked amazingly sharp

always ignore the hype that is heavily promoted. for whatever reason the UFC hypes up fighters that lose approximately 60% of the time (in main events)... Cowboy, Korean Zombie, the list goes on, and on, and on ....

Got to catch the Ortega/Zombie fight when I woke up. Ortega looks like a brand new fighter. This version of T-City is going to be a problem for Volk.
