No, actually it's knowing the history of stuff like this being said about black people that makes it raise race questions.
Remember "the negro is uneducated" in the minds of many whites. Don't believe me read some of the comments posted on different sites about this incident.
Like somone ese said, Duck Dynasty or Honey Booboo get a pass for the way they speak....but a black person gets criticized, legitimately.

No, they don't get made fun of in the realm where it counts. It's not personal as much as entertainment. People might watch and say, "Oh, honey booboo is so ignorant...." But at the same time, these same people still watch the show and that is WHY people watch the show. People like Duck Dynasty b/c of the backwards way they talk and the silly things they say. It's improper Engish but it's more acceptable b/c they consider it entertainment....
But as soon as Cam Newton(he's gotten better), or some other black athlete who might not be a perfect oralist gets on the mic, they have something negative to say on a PERSONAL level that cuts down to race.
