Not exactly. They typically give them a list and tell them to pick one. Once in awhile a guy will suggest his own name and they'll run with it but thats pretty rare. Vince doesnt like shyt if he cant feel like he came up with it.

Im sure Apollo Crews was the best name available next to shyt like Deshawn Jean, Jaxson Eli and Lucas Lyon

That's rarely been the case dating back like 5 years now. From Daniel Bryan to Finn Balor basically every name people have complained about turns out the wrestler came up with it themselves.

The only times people have had to just pick names from a list creative brainstormed is when they cant come up with one, and that's on them
