the sense of entitlement is baked into our culture, men feel entitled to women's bodies. The mental illness component only factors in after the point of rejection in terms of how men respond to being denied something they believe they should have access to. Women have shared their experiences of how men on the street respond to them after they've expressed disinterest, the responses include but are certainly not limited to, "have a good day", to "well fukk you then bytch."

Point is, while all women aren't being raped and kill for turning down unwanted suitors, the risk of danger is still ever present and for some wild reason men think women are exaggerating or overestimating the level of concern they should have. I hold the opinion that women who have to traverse cities by walking should have something on their person at all times that can incapacitate an attacker.

It's not just our culture. And i can't believe i'm about to go here, but there's a plethora of white people, spanish people, hell Indian people that have that same sense of entitlement. It's not cultural...there are some men who can't restrain themselves when it comes to their sexual urges regarding women. It's not healthy and it's not limited to black people. It's easier to identify because I'm assuming you're black, but typically I see blasphemous comments like these from people who do not have a significant interaction with other races.

Gotcha. I definitely feel it's somewhat ingrained in toxic masculinity, dare I even use that phrase, but I can recognize that it exists. But I think going beyond calling someone out their name, it takes someone who is not mentally well to put hands or worse on someone who rejects your advances. It is impulsive aggressive personality disorder which is listed in the DSM IV.
