-Brunch sat/sun , Jeat'jet in parkslope, Agave in west villiage (get there EARLY)
-pearls in williamsburg, fire trini spot. great for dinner, aslo has brunch
-Prince street pizza get the spicy spring slice or dont bother
-Melbas soulfood, Harlem
-check out Nuyorican poets cafe friday night poetry slam
-hometown BBQ in Red Hook

Im 2 neighborhoods away from Bushwick in Crown heights. If you want to roll with to the Uptown Cookout let me know. Im going for sure. and theres also a spanish crew having a cookout same time same park so its going to be a fine selection of sistas and latinas. the cook out is by the dussepalooza crew BTW

Also check out Smorgasburg, it’s Saturday and Sunday. It’s a bunch of food stands for a few hours(11-6) Sat in Williamsburg and Sun in Prospect Park, I suggest the Sunday and you can check out prospect like the breh @Orbital-Fetus recommended.

Another thing I’d say check out if you like burgers is the frites and meats food truck, some of the best damn burgers in the city imo. Mon-fri and they move each day, you can check their twitter and website for info. If you go let em know Jay sent you.

Avoid Harlem restaurant's them shyt's is overpriced basura. If you are into Asian food these dudes have a good summary... I should note that the Char Siu at Wah Fung No.1 is on point. And the Banh Mi sandwich at nearby Vanessa's Dumplings is amazing. Xi'an famous foods in midtown is great, they also have locations around the city. https://www.xianfoods.com/locations/
