1. Are you on JSA/ESA/ or any income based benefits ?
2. If yes, great, now you and your friend should go house hunting find a cheap room in a house or a super cheap 2 bedroom flat.
DO NOT LOOK FOR SOCIAL HOUSING. GO PRIVATE AND HAVE THE COUNCIL PAY YOUR RENT!
YES. THE COUNCIL WILL PAY YOUR RENT DIRECT INTO YOUR OWN BANK ACCOUNT EVERY TWO WEEKS.
Then you will give it to your landlord.
3. Go to this website : http://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/search.aspx
That is where you'll type in your postcode and age and whether you have kids and it'll tell you how much you will get a week.
4. Once you know how much your borough will give you a week then you will know which house to pick.
5. When you move in DO NOT tell the landlord you are on benefits, say you work as a gym instructor at your boxing gym and have an older friend be your referee or anyone be your referee lol
6. Move into your new flat, get your rent every two weeks and live good

How is that wrong when you have just told him to go private and not social where he will be in the waiting list forever. We are saying the same thing.
Why don't you get married to your friend? I bet being gay and married would qualify you for loads. I doubt you would have to bum him in front of the council staff to prove it and would save a few quid. You'd qualify for a bigger place then as well .maybe start fostering kids as well, a gay minority foster parent would be a right earner. If you want to go really extreme,chop your friends leg off and then you would qualify for carers benefit on top.
I only work because Iam doing my dream job, if I had to chose between factory, the army or stacking supermarket shelves (Which would have been my choices save some luck I had),I would never work ever by playing the system,because this countr is a toilet anyway, it has been ruined, so I salute you sir, get what you can out of the traitors who run the gaff. Hopefully one day they will all be hanging from lamposts,,when real leaders take over.
