New Deal Dems ran the table for 40 years until Civil Rights fractured the party. Despite what people say, more people lean towards civil rights but don't act toward it because many of us don't remember/didn't experience life before it. Things are coming to a point where whatever you lean toward, you are probably pushing deeper into it as time goes on. The courts can be expanded and real reforms can happen but progressives have to run the table.
