No. Trap music goes HARD, Grime might have sounded hard in 2004 but we were not listening. I'm not a hater because I love french trap even tho I can't understand it.

To each its own. I just can't sit through a track where its the same tick tick ticktickticktick followed by a 808. Might as well listen to Drum and Bass:rudy:

London
Grime instrumentals from 02-07 were crazy
They were defo basic beats from cracked fruity loops but back then London was like that; tower blocks, pirate radio & raves
it was a new genre everyone was either a teenager or low 20s with a few older heads such as Wiley etc that were in their mid 20s, it captured the rawness of it all how it was all on a budget and un-refined like how it is now

What's that song with the tall dude in a red tracksuit rapping in a park with a bunch of people around him and some cute beat playing in the background

Stormzy - Shut Up

That's an instrumental from 2003 called Funktionz On A Low

Whilst the majority of Grime back then was off kilter and abrasive, there was a side lane where a lot of sentimental melancholic tracks existed, Funktionz being a prime example

The goat beat in that department probably:

I can see why a yank would say cute, makes sense
