Those advisors had just come off a resounding landslide victory.
The success of the Greens is an existential threat to Labor in the way that Reform is not, the Greens can literally destroy Labor as a party in the same way Reform is currently doing to the Torries.
My guess would be that most of them would rather have a Farage Prime Ministership than a Polanski one.
